Note (1): This is the sequential star number from Baily's edition of Ulugh Beg's
catalogue, adopted by Knobel except in Piscis Austrinus where the numbering
    follows Knobel.

Note (2): In Baily's version, * here indicates that there is a note about this
star in the Notes section pp. 119-125.

Note (3): The degrees part of the ecliptic longitude is expressed by two
components: the zodiac sign, an integer from 0 (Aries) to 11 (Pisces), and
the offset in degrees (in the range [0, 30[) within the zodiac sign. The
degrees part of the ecliptic longitude is therefore 30 * Lo.z + Lo.d.

Note (4): In Knobel's version, * here means that the longitude is probably
derived from Ptolemy; / means that the star was not observed by Ulugh Beg
(position in italics in the text).

Note (5): A * represents an unknown latitude sign (e.g. Leo 10 in Baily's
    version).

Note (6): In Knobel's version, * here means that the latitude is probably
derived from Ptolemy and / means that the star was not observed by Ulugh
Beg (position in italics in the text).

Note (7): The magnitude field consists of a single integer or, in Knobel's
version, an integer range such as 3-4 or 4-3 used to capture the 'm' or 'p'
(for "magna" and "parva") modifiers. In Hyde's and Sharpe's versions, these
modifiers are captured in column 32.
Baily did not capture these nuances, which he regrets (p. 27 in his Preface
    to Ulugh Beigh's Catalogue).

Note (8): In Knobel's version, * here indicates that the magnitude is taken from
    Al Sufi's catalog.

Note (1): This is the sequential star number from Baily's edition of Ulugh Beg's
catalogue, adopted by Knobel except in Piscis Austrinus. The numbering
follows Knobel in PsA. This number and the Ulugh Beg designation
(UCon-UInf-UNum) are absent on continuation records, which contain
additional or alternative identifications for the star.

Note (2): A '*' here indicates that this catalog entry has no identification; a
'?' indicates that the identification is flagged as uncertain; a '+'
indicates that the identification has been corrected from an obvious error
in the catalog or inferred from catalog notes.
